Tenants come to a mutual agreement with property owners or managers to ensure the property is returned to its original condition. For assurance, tenants provide a bond, which is submitted to Bond Administrator for the duration of the lease. At least, the cleaning is done to restore the rental property to its original condition. The tenant’s motive behind the cleaning is to get back the bond. Hence, cleaning done at the lease’s end is also termed as bond cleaning.
The duration varies according to the size and condition of the rental property. However, for a one-bedroom property, it will take approximately 3 to 4 hours, two bedrooms will take 4 to 6 hours, and three bedrooms will take 6 to 8 hours. The time will add up if you opt for additional cleaning services, such as carpet cleaning, mold cleaning, and wall washing. It is better to allocate a day for the cleaning.

Yes, if it’s needed to return the property in the same condition as when you moved in. If the carpet was professionally cleaned before your tenancy or is stained or dirty at the end, you may be required to pay for cleaning.
